HomeOps terms of use
These terms apply when you install or use the free HomeOps plugin in ChatGPT. By using HomeOps, you agree to them.
Effective 27 August 2026
1. What HomeOps provides
HomeOps is a skills-only plugin that helps find and explain a household bill from connected Gmail or a document uploaded in the current conversation. It may help you create a one-time reminder or a time-based provider check owned by ChatGPT.
HomeOps has no account, server, database, payment system, or stored household history. The service is currently offered free of charge.
2. Your accounts and third-party services
ChatGPT and Gmail are provided by OpenAI and Google under their own agreements. You are responsible for your accounts, connections, and permissions with those services. HomeOps does not control their availability, retention, notifications, or security settings.
3. Important limits
HomeOps explains evidence; it does not guarantee that Gmail search found every relevant message or that a provider’s records are complete. Verify important amounts, dates, payment status, and contractual terms against the provider’s original document or account.
HomeOps does not provide financial, legal, tax, energy, insurance, or credit advice. It cannot pay, purchase, renew, cancel, switch, submit, or communicate on your behalf.
4. Acceptable use
Use HomeOps only with information and accounts you are authorised to access. Do not use it to violate another person’s privacy, bypass security, misrepresent evidence, or carry out unlawful activity.
5. Availability and changes
Features may depend on ChatGPT, Gmail, device, plan, workspace, or region. We may correct, narrow, suspend, or discontinue HomeOps, and may update these terms. Material changes will be published before the affected version is released.
6. Consumer rights and responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Subject to those rights, HomeOps is provided without additional warranties. You remain responsible for decisions and actions based on a bill, email, reminder, or explanation.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the laws of Australia that apply there. This does not remove any mandatory rights you have under the law that applies to you.
