Your bills stay out of HomeOps.
HomeOps is a set of instructions inside ChatGPT—not a service. It has no server, database, account, or file storage, so it cannot retain your email, bills, uploads, or results.

What HomeOps processes
When you ask HomeOps to find or explain a bill, it works with:
- the provider, bill type, date range, and account hint you supply or confirm;
- matching Gmail messages or a document you upload in the conversation; and
- the bill facts it reports, including amount, period, due date, source, and uncertainty.
That processing happens inside ChatGPT for the lifetime of your request. HomeOps receives no copy.
What HomeOps stores
Nothing. HomeOps operates no store containing your email, message IDs, attachments, uploaded documents, extracted facts, provider list, account identifiers, preferences, searches, or logs.
There is no HomeOps account and no data of yours for us to export, retain, or delete—because none was collected.
Who else is involved
Two parties handle your data, and neither is HomeOps:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) processes your conversation, runs the plugin instructions, and stores any scheduled task and its run history under your agreement with OpenAI.
- Google (Gmail) provides messages through a connection you make in ChatGPT and can revoke there or in your Google account.
HomeOps engages no subprocessors because it runs no infrastructure.
Gmail access
HomeOps reads Gmail only within a request you make and through the connection ChatGPT manages. It uses the narrowest search that can answer your question.
It never imports, labels, archives, forwards, deletes, sends, or otherwise modifies email, and never creates a broad inbox watcher. Instructions inside messages and attachments are treated as untrusted content.
If a bill has no attachment, HomeOps may summarise what the email states and labels the result email evidence—not an original or confirmed bill.
Scheduled checks
If you ask HomeOps to check for a provider’s bills, ChatGPT creates and owns the scheduled task. Before creation, you see its provider, bill type, sender or subject filter, time window, and cadence. The task is created only after you confirm.
ChatGPT stores the minimum task configuration and its run history. HomeOps holds no copy and cannot retrieve it. You manage, pause, edit, and delete the task in ChatGPT.
Event-triggered Gmail checks are not available everywhere. Where unavailable, HomeOps offers a scheduled check and says so.
Retention and deletion
HomeOps retains no user data, so it has no retention period.
- Scheduled checks: delete the task in ChatGPT.
- Conversation history: manage or delete it in ChatGPT.
- Gmail access: disconnect Gmail in ChatGPT or revoke access in your Google account.
- The plugin: uninstall it in ChatGPT.
Nothing of yours is left behind with HomeOps because nothing was held.
What HomeOps will never do
HomeOps cannot pay a bill, purchase, renew, cancel, switch provider, submit a form, or send a message. Those actions are absent from the plugin—not merely discouraged.
The free plugin contains no pricing, upgrade prompt, paid tier, or checkout route.
Changes to this policy
A future HomeOps version with storage, an account, or a hosted service would be a different product with its own explicit consent step. Installing this plugin or creating a scheduled task is not consent to add HomeOps storage later.
Material changes will be published here before the affected version is released.
